More good news.

Yesterday Cameron Trejo's documentary "making of Reflections" made it's debut.

This DVD is packed with new footage that people haven't seen before about how Reflections of Christ was made, including a longer section on the making of the music of Reflections of Christ.

Also the slideshow that has floated around online is available in a high-res version so people can use it on their TVs or project it. It's on the DVD as a bonus feature.

There were a ton of people that wanted to use the slideshow for lessons... Here it is.

Congratulations to Cameron on an inspiring documentary that has received requests from all over the world.

Kudos also to Clyde, Jason, Freddie, Alex, Mylenda, Hope, Catherine, The Alston Sisters, Brandon, and the choir on an epic musical collaboration.

Check them out.

Big Announcement!

Reflections of Christ "the book" is available for pre-order at www.Deseretbook.com

For those that get it today they are also offering a free 8x10 of the Resurrection Image. (that link is courtesy of the More Good Foundation and Christ.org, I just wanted everyone to check it out).

The designers of this book have sent out my exact message. That is a very strait-forward witness of Jesus Christ. I wanted a book that leaves room for the imagination to work and for a friend or parent to be able to teach from it. Each page of the book has imagery (some of which hasn't been seen in full on the website) and scripture from the New Testament... that's it.
There is a personal-narrative preface (written by yours truly) that explains some of the more poignant moments in making Reflections of Christ. (I usually skip the part of me talking). Also, some technical information at the end of the book.

Deseret Book has thoughtfully made it very affordable... for this I'm grateful. As many as would like to have the book may get it.

On a deeper level the publishing of this book has pushed me... and leaves me feeling spiritually wrung out . It's nerve racking to send out this work without my being there to explain every little detail of it. It will become a way for people to teach their kids and friends about Jesus Christ. Other people will have the chance to interpret what's going on in the art. It becomes "Grandpa's book" or "mom's book" as kids associate the pictures with their parents and teachers stories about Christ.

So... Here it is. Enjoy.

Unloading Negatives! Clients Read Closely.

Hello everyone... Recently I've partnered with a company called The Modern Photo. They offer innovative and economic options for digitizing (i.e. scanning) photographs taken on film. So, if you haven't received a mailer from them in the last week or so, and I  photographed your wedding over two years ago... Drop them a line.

On a related note. They are an amazingly competent and competitively priced option for scanning all of the photos laying around your house so you can use them on your computer. I fully recommend them.

Make Up.

I'm very excited to announce something that I hoped would happen...

My make-up artist, Chelsea Hunt, is now going full time into the make-up biz.

She did makeup on some of my all time favs including... Angels, Ten Virgins, and all of the Sonoran Shoots.

She kills in on commercial and bridal make-up. So whether or not your using me to photograph your stuff, I recommend

Chelsea without hesitation.

Loner.

Hey Guys.

I finally buckled down and got a Facebook page. I got one or two friend requests and was getting courious...
My page is lame, but I promise to work on it. Click one of those links if you're a facebooker and be my friend.
I'm going to hit the sack and kick myself now for publicly begging for friends.
I really have enjoyed the diverse group of buddies that have shown up though.

Oops.

Sorry about the little shutdown of the site... It seems that we kind of wore out our welcome with GoDaddy.com... Something about "excessive bandwidth"... Good news. We're back. Sorry about the delay.

Park City...

A couple weeks ago we had the chance to photograph an intensely cool house... First we shot arial from a helicopter, then into the house. It's on a ski run in Park City. Ski in ski out. Incredibly huge and impeccably decorated and finished, the art collection in the house is fantastic. I'm trying not to sound like the realtor. Figured I'd give it a little air time before it's listed officially. If you are interested though, email Shanna. Enjoy.

PS. There's more info on the house at www.thecolony151.com.
