The Reflections of Christ exhibit is wrapping up a very nice week in Grand Junction Colorado. It was displayed in the new wing of the St. Mary's Hospital. I was honored to have it there and met several people in the hospital that I would absolutely trust with my health care. They have had a few thousand visitors over the last week in the Hospital as well as in the local LDS Stake Center (yes folks, the Mormons and Catholics partnered to bring the exhibit to GJ). I was in Grand Junction Colorado earlier this week staying with a great friend, Dr. Don Ross and Lara and their family. They made us feel so at home. Also we continued to build an excited new friendship with Dr. Stephen and Connie Kelly. Connie has been a wonderful friend and mentor to me over the last several months...
Another very impressive element came as a total surprise to me. Local photographer Monica Hudsonwas covering the exhibit and other events around it. I'll just come out and say it, I think I told her... I don't know what I would do to make covering the exhibit creatively challenging, or even remotely interesting. How do you take a picture of someone looking at a picture. Well, I'm dang impressed by Monica's ability to be impressed by something I wouldn't have noticed. Kids learning about Jesus.
I wish she would do a whole series on kids' comments and insights about Jesus with these pics!
P.S. Monica was paparazzi-ing me all week... if she made me look as cute as this kid, or even not chubby, I'm dying to see it.
