Let me ramble for a minute... To me, the movement to be "different" should never supercede the need to do technically good work. This is was a shoot for my wife's little sister and her fiance, Kim. Great guy incidentally.
Side note, I've got 7 sisters and 2 sisters-in-law. All of them are a little nuts. I was the only son in my family. I love all of them and it's turning out that all of their husbands are great. So anyway, Kadence, our bride here gave me total control to do something different. The engagement shot on the couch thing is my fav from the shoot... They chose another one, hence, "the one that got away". We lit that thing just right. The expressions were great, the mood is good, but what I really love is the hair hanging in his face. I lobbied hard in family circles to get that one picked and was defeated in the final hour.
Her bridal was fun. I paid a visit to the local fabric store and created a few backdrops and we went in studio. I had this craving for some studio work. Thanks Kadence for feeding it. For anyone that knows Kadence, she is really sweet and fiesty simultaneously. I think that comes across nicely in the bridal shots.
